You could force the CoCo to go into overclock mode at the cost of the video. Bet you didn't have a floppy disk drive tho.

Ah yes, the high speed POKE. You could use the floppy drive in high speed, but the data would not be readable if you saved in high speed mode.

I don't think any data was readable if you used the 2x or the even higher one. Was it or did it 4x the CPU? I can't remember anymore.
