Give grandpa a long, hard look. Zoom in on that face and tell me what you see.

"Why did Uncle Adolf have to be right..."

[–] 1 pt (edited )

Sadness, disappointment... thinking about his own childhood. He's not really caring about what his wife is showing everyone with her phone. He's looking through it. He's thinking about his job, his time with his wife when they were young, what they envisioned having kids would be like. He still loves his family, and has reached the point where he's probably 'cold' to the evolution of the black sheep. He still loves her, but he also wishes she wasn't like that. He also knows that one day she will look back at this moment and regret it and eventually come back to the family. This is why he doesn't kick her out. He still has hope for her so he keeps her around. He is embarrassed to show her to his friends, but he's 'cold' about it and just works to keep his mind off it. He still loves her.
