Of course, they exclude every divergent opinions from their little ivory tower/echo chamber. As a result they only have a partial and biased feedback over what they are doing and planning. And evidently they can't count on those whose salary depends on not understanding the problem to provide them with the right insight/hindsight They brought the entire situation on themselves and they are stuck with it.
