we need to remove all of these protections they were given. they were given for great reasons but were never actually used as intended. theyre now used in a way where you can print any shit you like and claim 'confidential source close to' and get away with it. a retraction doesnt mean shit when the false article was a front page headline with a 5 page spread and the retraction is buried in the classifieds.
