No, sadly. Just that I archive things people link if they don't take the time to archive it first. That way I can get to read them and have them saved in case they get yanked. I also copy videos and pics over to catbox to save locally if they're worth saving and keep the catbox link in the file name/txt file for future linking. I then share the archive and catbox links for others in case they might be of use.
Last I saw, and had chatted about the api stuff over 5 months ago. AOU had stated some work was going to be done after the new year to the api and Derram said "All I need is a streaming endpoint. Something that lists the last 25-50 submissions since last check." Nothing since that I have seen, so I doubt an archive bot will be happening. Little efforts by me and others to help out like this is what we've got, though if more people help with archiving or if people start to archive stuff themselves before sharing then a bot wouldn't be needed.
I archive vids and post back to thrread a lot but not enough. Thanks for your work and the update.
Thanks for your efforts also.
I almost said fuck it and was going to quit posting mirrors and archives entirely not long ago after a red-named person started to bitch at me for posting an archive link for an article they linked to. Seriously, bitching at me for posting an archive link for the article they posted. They thought the site deserved the click and they intentionally didn't want it archived to force people to click their link in order to read the article. If an archive link is posted then people are able to easily use it instead of their direct link and that pissed off the apparently communist dictator.
I think both a direct link and an archive should be available so others can choose for themselves how they want to view the article. Hell, I even try to put some archive.org links along side the archive.today links because some spoiled-brat TOR users constantly (constantly) bitch about archive.today and how they need to do captchas to view those archive links as a result of using TOR. I rarely bother adding those anymore because of their bitching about it.
Considering that many of our side appear to be as spoiled, lazy, attention-deficient, and have as strong a sense of entitlement as niggers, and also with how clownworld is going and where it looks to be heading considering the information that people share on here about the insanity going on, going into a thread and seeing that someone else has already backed up and shared a mirror for a vid or posted an archive for the OP's link is one of the top highlights of my day. A bit sad, yeah, but it is so rare that it happens that it makes my day. While it only saves a minute of time from doing it myself, it means more that it is evidence that someone else also gives a shit about helping out our side, it shows me not everyone is no better than a nigger, and it restores just a bit of my hope in us, our side and our future.

There's 2 reasons TOR users bitch about archive.today. They throw up a captcha but google makes it unsolvable for TOR users, no matter how many times you correctly solve the google captcha they just keep re-presenting it to you. At one time I solved over 20 times (I lost count) but it still wouldn't send me to the article.
So it's a dead link to TOR users.
We can't get to it to even copy the live URL to click through to the origin site. On top of that, archive.today does that because they monetize that click data by geographical location. If TOR users, certain VPN's or certain providers hit an AT link the click is worthless to them so they throw up an unsolvable captcha. And honestly, if someone is getting paid for the click I'd rather it be the content creator.
And just because something is useful doesn't mean it's benign. They sell that data to anyone, not just marketers but people who want to build profiles on the dissident right. So I'm one of those "spoiled-brats." I've never advocated banning AT though, just asked folks to post the source link the post text.

I sent him a PM months ago and nothing since then.
I need to take the time to work on a solution that would archive twatter/Jootube links to vid8/gvid.tv/catbox.
Thank you for all you've done trying to work on that. That's disappointing that they did not respond to your message and seem to not visit the site anymore.
I hope that like all users who went MIA, he's fine.
