Problem is that, when you militarily intervene in a given country, it's a mess, always. Everything will come to a halt very quickly, administration, payrolls, prisons go without guards, shortage of pretty much everything, younameit, and you'll get sabotage too, of key infrastructures for instance, from the old guard, scorched earth basically, looting will start to take place eventually. In a nutshell society descends into chaos, and evidently you can't afford to just shoot and bomb everybody and anybody for obvious reasons, and evidently your enemies will hide among the civilians. It's a guaranteed mess, even if shock an awe goes flawlessly, look at iraq.

And evidently it's going to cost a ton, to handle.

Now what's the benefit? If both sides want to go all in, there must be a valid reason, it's suspicious. It reeks of forever war party directive, there's an ulterior motive, I don't buy the "charity" excuse, and I'm not implying you do, to be clear.

Now that the fat government contracts for Iraq and Afghanistan have come to an end, Congress needs a new war to continue the kickback cash stream from all of those military contractors. Ukraine was looking up for a while, but that too has somewhat ground to a halt. Cuba is perfect for this, because the infrastructure basically has to be rebuilt from scratch. Everything from roads to water treatment, power and telephone lines, civilian administrative buildings, sewage pipes, you name it really. The entire country is badly in need of an upgrade.

That's fat cash kickbacks to Congress for the next twenty years at least, and all of that with a minimal loss of life. There's no nearby Iran to funnel in a steady flow of disruptive saboteurs and their military supplies... no muslims at all really, and don't forget the drug running opportunities this opens up as well. Congressional support? It's already a done deal... and 10% for the big guy.

Think about all of that waterfront property.

Premium tourist land.

The moment that property hits the market, money will flow in from all over the world to buy it.

If America just so happens to get nuked a couple of times making all this happen, well, there's money in cleaning that up too.

Coincidentally, cuba has signed on the belt and road initiative

Maybe I can get an early jump on some that land.

Or become a hurricane insurance salesman.

Spend my days on the beach.

Sipping orange juice.
