The (((fed's))) wet dream is all electronic currency. Replacing the federal reserve notes with a full electronic currency also means a currency that has an interest component. This way they can adjust the interest to negative, to steal it from you as punishment. Or reward you with positive interest. And because it's all electronic, you can't withdraw it, because it doesn't exist. The best you can do is to convert it into hard assets as quickly as possible.

As we all know, we won't own anything. And we'll be happy.

Here's the thing with any electronic currency: you can't possess it. Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency is not tangible. Possession is nine tenths of the law. Crooked state actors can always manage to subvert an electronic asset. Then if suddenly your account shows zero, how do you restore it? You don't.
