Up until the late 90s hollywood was probably the best asset america had to export itself

You're forgetting that "hollywood"'s jew and pedo part was ignored by the vast majority, that's not the image the vast majority had of hollywood and america. The image they had was the image they got... Through hollywood

I mean america invented most modern heroes and myths through hollywood mostly, that's soft power, that's how they shaped the world's view/culture/way of life...

Well the western world made the mistake of trusting america and everything coming out of it since the end of wwII, starting with entertainment production and mass media, even more after the fall of the soviet union/the "bad guys". It was a nice story, but it was just a story, and now millions have realized it and are just dumping that "empire of lies"
