Are Europeans fed up with their governments and the EU, I never hear a peep about it on here or news articles. If I do it’s only a few hundred at a protest.

Our water/sewer service switched over to a new online billing system and my account number wouldn’t work so I had to call.
The first time I only got two options press 1 to pay your bill or press 4 for the “opt out program” so I pressed 4 to see what it was about, I’d never heard of it.
According to 2020 census data we have 30% “people of color” in or water/sewer district and 25% of the population makes less then $45,000 a year(no kidding illegals don’t declare income and millennials all work minimum wage retail with masters in gender studies around here).
If you fall into one of these categories your bill was was removed July 2x for the current and future billing cycles. This program is provided by federal grants and the state government.

And above all they’re holding virtual meetings over the next month for a 8% increase in water/sewage usage to increase capacity for upcoming demand due to growth.
New housing is already taxed a certain percentage for this purpose along with increased road wear, and every other minuscule thing you can imagine. I believe all the fees for a normal new construction home that was 250,000 5 years ago was an additional $10,000 but starter homes are now well over 500,000 so it’s probably closer to 20,000 in new construction fees/taxes. Which then get passed along to the next buyer of the “used” home in the home price.
Why not make the new people that are increasing demand pay the higher rate and leave us long timers alone and kick out the illegals/millennials.
