To fully interpret this we would need a good lawyer, but this is my take:
TIN FOIL HAT ON
If you turn a 7 page document into a 300 page one, you are more likely not doing it to provide more info, but to hide what matters in the plain sight and make it more difficult to follow regulations and shift blame to others.
Just image you are running a business which has to follow regulations based on this toxicology report. You get news that in 2023 they will update it, and after 17 years they drop a fucking 300 page book to replace your previous 7 page leaflet.
You still struggle to adjust to it and then hear news of this "accident" few weeks later.
"OY VEY NOBODY IN THE CHAIN OF THESE EVENTS FOLLOWED REGULATIONS PROPERLY, WE WILL NOW SHUT DOWN AND SUE EVERYONE (and take over thier busiess with (((our))) companies) AND IMPLEMENT MORE REGULATIONS AND LAWS TO MAKE SURE THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN AGAIN (which will allow us to poison the wells more effectively)"

I'd love to use one of the embeddings libraries to index both these documents then have GPT-3.5 (ChatGPT) summarize both and see what it says.

For those who don't know, many of the best features are still not available even after clearing the waitlist. You need access to dev version of Edge to gain access to the AI sidebar which allows you to summarise entire webpages and PDF files on your computer. I believe this is the real golden feature as I've already been able to use the AI sidebar to digest my 400-paged textbook and summarise/tutor me on specific sections of the textbook. Composing is also unlocked with the dev build.
