Yeah, that is pretty fucked up. Not helping the healing at all and you know they found ways to make it "hit harder" so its not like it is being used to taper off unless they really want to or they are selling it.
The ways to hit harder are through slamming fent. It's no problem to get needles since all units have medical facilities that at least need to provide insulin syringes for diabetics. Yeah. Nobody is wanting to get off. It's purely a way to escape the confines of prison and be high enough to not remember anything whether they have a 1 year sentence or a life sentence. As a prisoner, to always have to be on edge and worry you're going to die bc you didn't sit down to piss or looked at someone of another set or race wrongly makes one a bit nutty.
I understand it only bc I've worked in prisons and also have been on prescribed opiates for a back that was broken in 3 spots. Takes a lot of will power to want to live with pain rather than to stay on opiates. It took me years to get off and I hate the jews that create shit like stronger opiates. I was just lucky to be in a position to have to much to lose and had will power. There are so many that can't say the same.
