I don't think Voat will die because of this, but I think enough people are now really woken up. Possibly one more bad few or a few could push it over the edge. For me, it was last year when Voat would just go down with no way to even contact anyone to clear the log files other than I think someone's twitter who knew how to reach putt.
I said it then and will say it again. All the new features, rules, angel investors etc don't mean jack shit if there is literally only 1 guy who can admin the site on the OS / hosting level. Putt or loved one gets sick, gets hit by car, new job, arrested, etc etc and voat is gone forever. That's the main reason I gave up all subs I modded and moved here.

Yeah, agreed. I think that Putt pulled out of the nose dive just in time. If he leaves it alone for a year, it will go back to the way that things were. If he pulls another boner, then people will start to get really concerned. I'm not even sure that the honeymoon period there is necessarily over. I think that plenty of those guys actually like drama.

I'm seeing slightly lower numbers than usual. It could be anything honestly.
