I think food tampering already is a law on the books in most places, but "terrorist threat"? People have been posting videos of licking ice cream and drinking from containers and putting them back on the shelf for months now as some kind of "smash whitey" campaign and those people weren't even chastised by ruling officials.

Don't get me wrong, the dude here is a dumbass but they're stretching these legal powers in very dangerous ways. How long before not staying in your pod is terrorism?

What's your opinion Professor_de_la_Paz?

A bunch of the assholes who've been licking ice cream and other items have been charged with misdemeanors and fined. That seems fair. Terrorism charges are insane.

It seems they've got a few of these over reactions lately. I looked into that case with the hand sanitizer and the details are interesting and not so cut and dry. Then, two days later, they sign an executive order to abscond peoples stuff with an anti-hoarding law. I'm noticing not one non-totalitarian solution has been presented.

Meanwhile, Japan is not even managing this "crisis" and all is well there and cases are reducing now.

That's because with American politicians it's about the power, not the pandemic.
