You advocate curtailing people's choices quite severely in the name of achieving true freedom. Interesting.

However I disagree. I think erring on the side of freedom is always the responsibility of a well functioning constitutional republic. Weed should never have been made illegal in the first place.

I agree with both statements, however the "choice" is the "free will" component to this whole game. Making things illegal and prohibiting them creates more government power since they have to enforce the prohibition. Are these things worthy of being prohibited? Absolutely! Thats why most are called 'sins' or are known to be detrimental to educated, well adjusted, functioning adults. Stay off the drugs, disallow the government to make the choice for you.

Any thinking otherwise shows the individual can’t handle their own desires and must rely on the government to save them.

There is absolutely zero reason that it should still be illegal.
