I believe they didn't even get really started making batteries here. CODA made a couple of cars and then went bankrupt.

The Lucent facility is now houses built on ground that I wouldn't want to live on.

EV's and batteries (among other things) have been one bill of goods after another. The internal combustion engine is the workhorse for cars and trucks today and still will be on January 1, 2100. It's time for the people who push for EVs to get their heads out of their asses.

In this case, CODA's failure was a car that couldn't go 90 miles on a charge.
