I get it that communities need some way to raise money for services. While I firmly believe taxes are theft. I don't think a 100% voluntary system would work, at least not in this country with current demographics. What gets me the most is the amount of my property taxes that funds a school system when I send my kid to a private school. I feel that money should 100% go towards the tuition I pay there. Public schools get your shit together if you want my money.
