Speaking of which, I just picked up a Yaesu FT-450B and an End fed 1/2 wave antenna I'm still stringing up. That sucker is long! I managed to get that, plus a 30 amp switching power supply for under $750!

I went into a shop and saw the new Yaesu models... holly shit. Makes my 450B look like a crystal radio by comparison.

I know, the new stuff is just incredible.

Even the cheap chinese stuff is amazing with onboard spectrum and waterfall displays for a few hundred.
