The has no LED originally. I built with a pro micro and there are three pins for num/scroll/caps lock leds as well as 5 extra keys you can wire up manually.
As for how it works... I had to field about 5 long winded email replies yesterday that took 40 minutes or so and I wanted more to type when I was done. Super light clicks and a SOLID bottom out, the keyboard pcb is sandwiched between two thick steel plates. But it is missing dedicated arrow keys as well as f11 and f12. The return key is pretty shit as well, you have to reach waaaaay out with your right pinky and up to the point where your index and middle finger come off the board.
