Dates 1944, 1945, 1946, and 1976. So many of these eye tubes were made for the war effort, that we're just now running out.

Yes. The 1629s were made specifically for the military during WWII, a sort-of 6E5 workalike.
They showed up in consumer gear afterwards due to the sheer numbers of them that were made. Even in the mid 1990s it was possible to find these things for $5 or less.
Nice old boxes you picked up there. Would have been better if you got the magic eye tuner tubes to go with them. /s
They're inside. They're so NIBNOS that an eBay seller would run out of superlatives to describe them.
