I heard that if you put one of those between your teeth and hit yourself in the head with a hammer you can broadcast AM radio from your ears...

Stuff like this is cool, I'm sure there's so many small semi-precious pieces to harvest from old tech it's not funny. How much longer can humans mine minerals and metals from the earth? I'm surprised they're still able to mine diamonds.

Yep. All crystal controlled equipment has those. Find an old crystal scanner. All the crystals differ, depending on frequency.

These were plug-in crystals for some ancient military radio. I bought it mostly because the case it was in was cool, not because I need a 24.xxx MHz crystal.

Never say never.

Eh...it's not in any shape to be used at this point. Things on it are broken so I used the body as a test for my new ultrasonic cleaner.

Heyy mannnnn, check out this heady crystal I got from the local New Age headshop. The guy behind the counter told me it, ummm, had really good vibrations, and it could catch onto all the invisible vibes that permeate the air around us, mannn! How gnarly is that? He even said that if I tuned it properly, I could receive transmissions from far away entities! I can't wait to get home and pack a fat bong, and commune with Mother Gaia!

Get the fuck outta here with your new age hippy crystal worship.

Quartz is one of the reasons modern electronics works. You shall have the crystalline material, and you shall like it.
