It's branded Coronado, and is in decent but eh shape for the age. Cabinet is ok, but not great, speaker is dry-rotted. It's mostly untouched save for a filter capacitor replacement in the 60s. It's interesting in that it's fully shielded (the bottom is on the cabinet) and that it has an amplified (untuned) front end, designed for more rural applications. It also uses a fahnestock clip for the external antenna instead of screws, so it was one of those devices made during the transition from experimenter to commercial devices - or it was just cheap.

Coronado was an imprint of Gamble-Skogmo, a department store chain that went bankrupt in 1982. They had several names used in Ohio and the surrounding states, it's hard to tell which one this was purchased at. It's also hard to tell who it was made by, as Arvin - among others - made Coronado radios.

Must be nice to have something that only plays the good old stuff!

Only thing on AM here is talking heads. Take your pick of hardcore "you touched your butt in the shower now you're going to hell" religion, or "the frogs are gay" right.
