Starlink is the only solution for many. Cell service is still spotty even in populated areas. Broadband point to point is not a thing in areas with canyons like WV, CO, UT. Most of these places had phones due to the phoneaficarion in the 60’s.

No idea what dialup cost, but the cost of the line ?$30, plus the internet ?$50 with taxes close to 100, and Starlink is 120.

My bigger question where you bee if you didn’t know this specific ail shutdown. This started to be posted over a month ago, numerous times, on here as well as about every other fucking place on the planet.

You guys sleeping?

Gramma who checks her facebook and maybe an email probably doesn't know. Starlink requires a clear view of the sky, and that may not be a thing for some people.

There are places the sun don’t shine? I was in a forest in Colorado and Starlink worked on top of the trailer. In a canyon. With a 800ft ridge next to me. It’s serviceable no matter where you is.

You're lucky. Place I worked with uses them on some mobile trailer service thing they do. Had trouble getting a connection in a lot of spots - get a tree and it's game over.
