Its ok when WE make money off it. Not You using it for "free". If any of this can be considered "fair use" then all piracy is fair use as long as you are not making money from it.

From the post:

>A group of prominent intellectual property law professors has weighed in on the high-stakes AI copyright battle between several authors and Meta. In an amicus brief, the scholars argue that using copyrighted content as training data can be considered fair use under U.S. copyright law, if the goal is to create a new and 'transformative' tool. This suggests that fair use could potentially apply to Meta's training process, even if the underlying data was obtained without permission.

Of course there won't be any repercussions of this at all.

Already I'm seeing CAPTCHAs and reverse proxy servers that thwart crawlers like

  • Cloudflare (with its bot management tools)
  • Datadome
  • Distil Networks (now part of Imperva)
  • ai-poisoning-proxy – A reverse proxy setup designed to feed recursive data to known AI scrapers.
  • Scrapy-Protect – A more general anti-scraping solution that protects websites from bots.

As well as others. Of course, the paid off politicians aren't going to do anything to protect intellectual property, so the owners of the said property will have to do it themselves.

jews can claim "fair use" all they want, but intellectual property owners will fight back.

Before all these AI tools, in order to create derivative works, humans had to do it. Now derivative works are automated, making it obsolete.

Always has been.
