None of my self-improvement habits bring me happiness. They are a grind against the world's atrophy, so that I may possibly have a chance in the collapse.

There is not much more to learn about the state of the world, at least from this place. Continual reminders that fill poal and voat bring my spirit down.

I like my vocation, but to practice it as a living requires life among people with whom I cannot connect on anything deeper than a superficial level.

None of this is meant to garner sympathy or help; if it crossed your mind to give these things then I have not successfully presented myself. I make no claim upon any other man - for their money, concern, or thought.

That's normal, I think we all have to deal with this feeling from time to time.

What keeps me going is knowing I can be part of the change I want to see. It's not gonna be easy, it might even turn ugly, but the end goal is to give a bright future to our children.

You take care, GS ... chill for a spell, get your head together, and then Poal could use you dropping by again now and then, if only to say Hi! Everyone needs a break from this crap now and then for their own sanity, so I can relate. Enjoy your time away.
