What's hilarious is that while they don't really have any great status in society Iranian Shiite's believe that it's possible for a man to be born w/ a woman's brain and their is actually a ton of transgender people in Iran relative to most places because... they don't tolerate homosexuality and have been known to essentially give known homosexuals three options. If you're family is connected and has status, they'll exile you. For gay people that don't have the money to leave their options are generally death or... living as a woman.
