LGBTQ+Helicopter activists are a fanatical religion, not a sexual preference. This is readily proven by their aversion to research into curing or preventing their deviant behavior that dramatically limits their sexual partners and prevents them from having children. If they weren't a religion, they'd be all for this type of research because it'd increase their reproductive fitness and make their lives easier. It's no different than if a subset of hetero men were ONLY attracted to sterile redheads with green eyes. They'd want a cure ASAP so they could actually find a partner reliably.
