Over 167 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through April 5, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 2,794 reports of death (0.00167%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine.
Notice the 0.00167%, knowing this is the CDC can you take a guess how they did the math?
That's right, the percentage can not go above 50% because they divided the deaths by number of doses (2 doses per person) , not deaths by number of people. The percentage actually cannot go above 38.32% because they claim 20% of America has been vaccinated, or 64 million (are people getting 3 doses?)
