We truly live in an illusionary world. Fakeness runs deep. It's extremely difficult to find anything that is real.
Mostly people live in complete ignorance of what's going on around them. They aren't interested to know. If you try to red pill people, they get cognitive dissonance and lash out at you for daring to wake them up to reality.
Speaking of household trash, I actually pay extra for my weekly trash collection for recycling inspite of the fact the trash hauler admitted they don't actually separate the trash themselves. Yep, I've watched the hauler dump both sets of cans into the same truck. You're wondering why I do this, I bet. Simple: it's actually more convenient for me. My house has separate containers for each. I rationalize it also by thinking someday my trash hauler may decide to actually recycle. It also allows me to virtue signal to my neighbors.
It also allows me to virtue signal to my neighbors.
Yup. And I imagine a lot of the recyclables we send overseas (China) probably get dumped into the ocean. As long as we don’t have to witness it, we don’t have to wring our hands in guilt over it. Same with child labor, pollution, etc.
Kind of like EVs. As long as you don't see the pollution, it doesn't exist.
