The same people sharing these posts also think min. wage hikes are necessary.

Sure, let's pay someone who took 5 years to get an engineering degree less than what a plumber makes so you can hire Indians to do the work and make the one American engineer manage and fix all their mistakes. We have a labor market that is seriously corrupted by the gov't and megacorps who gamed the system and kept wages stagnant in the USA for 50 years. The minimum wage kvetching is a game and you bought into it. The US labor market is not a free market, it is the sort of market you get when (((international corporations))) make most of the planet a plantation so they can live like kings.

No, minimum wage hikes aren't necessary except perhaps to bring increases in line with inflation like Social Security does.

What is necessary is that jobs that require degrees and skills need to pay for those degrees and skills. A requirement of a Bs and experience in some specialized technologies should not be paying $13 an hour contract only with no benefits. There's a complete disconnect between what companies want and what they think it's worth.

That's reason #1 no one is taking these jobs. I'm not going to pick up and move to Commiefornia for a 7 month contract in San Francisco that pays $18 an hour.

And gov subsidies raising the price of college for those who don't get handouts..

If it didn't cost so much to go, wouldn't need to make as much to pay it off.

Absolutely. Wages will never be able to keep up with the government allowing more printed money to be borrowed.
