The pushbacks against deepfakes reveals their positioning against deepfakes.
This makes it clear that they intend to treat it as a threat. No one deploys ammunition (in this case, funds and manpower) against a non-threat.
As such, this marks the beginning of their pushback against the threat - revealing to those with eyes to see that they're currently planning the avenue of reaction.
Basically, we're nearing the avalanche of exposure against [them].
Yes but the corruption of media is being used to destroy media as a whole. It's a slippery slope. I really don't care about China and they should be kept away from the West so when they censor media it's no biggy because they've always done that. I am worried the West will use it as an excuse to follow suit. There's a difference between exposing liars and censoring media.
