I worked at a now out of business laptop manufacturer. Their laptops' specs were faster than Apple's, but their laptops were useless after 1 year. I have first hand experience with a faster laptop being useless because it is all about heat. Apple has figured out the big problem concerning laptops - heat dissipation.
I've got a 2019 Dell laptop sitting at my desk from my office and that thing spits off way more heat than my MacBook Pro doing the same tasks, even though it is almost 8 years old.

I know about heat but don't you even dare to claim that Apple have figured out heat dissipation when their laptops are wafer thin.
Have you ever even looked at the inside of a laptop? I guess not.
Also one can simply buy a laptop cooler if necessary, and regardless no laptop should ever be used on a bed or similar warm surface.
