You texting and driving?

Nah small breaks in the drive.

I don't think they got rid of him. It's just that Sage (and hide) transthing that's stirring shit for 15 minutes of attention.

I won't be surprised if the leftards and streetshitting M$ CEO lobbied for it.

Time for everyone to get serious about BSD derivatives. BSD usually runs linux progs faster than linux anyway, and the license is way less restrictive.

Just installed OpenBSD in an old PC. I'll play with it some days, but I'll tell you, it's not as fast as Linux.

(edit: I'm talking about booting, maybe because systemd makes it fast)

I haven't played with it recently, but in the past, maybe booting is one thing, but how fast and snappy programs run is another... BSD usually ran linux programs WAY faster than any linux distro. Just my personal experience.

Man, IDK, I didn't have the time to check it yet. But I think we can agree that that Michael Larabel guy is objective in his tests, and OpenBSD doesn't go exactly good in preformance:

As a desktop, maybe these tests wouldn't make a difference. My reason is political, so if it's usable, it's an alternative if Linux goes full retard.

I've been running BSD on my server for the past couple of years.

Go with OpenBSD. FreeBSD has been SJWed up the ass for years now.

You better have an ATI or Intel graphics card, and there is no bluetooth support. Other than that, it's been smooth sailing so far.

The "kill switch" isn't going to work, but with Linus caving the project will soon fall into the hands of Pajeet coders working for Intel or Microsoft and that will drag it under water. There will be hundreds of forks, a couple of which will survive, but it will take years to sort out.

BSD could use some attention anyway, no point in having a monoculture because when "disease" comes around you'll still want your stuff to work.

So, I do NOT stay up to date like maybe I should, but do you have an opinion about PCBSD? Just glancing at the buzz, it seems like a good step in the right direction for alternative OSes.
