That's what they are saying. They WERE listed, as backups. So, you would never have been routed to them, if the main servers were up. Only because Amazon took the servers down, their own system failed-over to the backup servers. Exposing them.

if they are listed as backups they are in DNS so they can be found before the other servers are shut down. this description makes no sense, i assume that the explanation of Parler is wrong and hopefully it will be explained better in the future
