I disagree. The question of whether the OS manufacturer obtained her consent to make her credit card info available to her kid like that is the core issue here. It's absolutely the kind of question which could be put to a court.

If I take your credit card details for what looks a whole lot like a one-off purchase, then record those details and allow anyone in your family to make repeat purchases without your knowledge or consent, then that isn't really your mistake.
