Summary

Today we are sharing details on changes we have decided to make:

First, we will suspend contributions for the duration of the 2022 election cycle to all members of Congress who voted to object to the certification of electors. We will also suspend contributions for the same period for state officials and organizations who supported such objections or suggested the election should be overturned.

What we can do?

Boycott as much as Microsoft products, and services if you support Trump.

Alternatives

Windows -> any Linux operating System. https://www.techradar.com/best/best-linux-distros

Office 365 -> LibreOffice

Edge Browser -> Brave

One Drive -> Mega, or Nextcloud for self hosting. You can find plenty of alternatives here : https://alternativeto.net/software/microsoft-onedrive/

Skype -> Telegram Telegram now supports video calls too

Outlook Email Service -> Mailbox.org, tutanota, protonmail, zoho, yandex, posteo.

I understand some of you might not be able to replace all the Microsoft products as it's necessary to keep on using them because it's needed for your career, but if you could replace at least one of them, and deprive the power of bigtech then it's least you can do for the society. Collectively small people like us can do miracles as long as we stay together without being divided. Use this site to find more alternatives: https://alternativeto.net/

Yea, I use their tools in my business, but I'm weaning myself off. I read about Microsoft infiltrating Raspberry pi. All I can do is remove the Microsoft repo.

You'll probably need to write up a bash script to check for and delete it every time you log in or when the system boots. I checked my Ubuntu systems I run and none of them have M$ in any of the apt sources files. So it "appears" the breach is limited to Raspberry Pi for now.

What what I might do today is get a copy of Raspbian and code up something to detect, delete, and log it in syslog.

It's better if you can share it with the Raspberry pi community too.
