I'm not settled on either side but it's gay nothing gab puts out is the browser isn't open source.

Looks like Gab source code is here: https://code.gab.com/gab/gab-open-source

It extracts and Readme looks reasonable. I haven't fired it up to test though.

Not sure about the other stuff..

Yes but to be very honest the browser's source code is far more important if it ever wants me to touch it.
