Knew they'd spin this in a positive light. Your privacy has been invaded, and you're supposed to love it anyway.

[–] 0 pt

Yes, this'feature' is provided for your convenience and enjoyment.......

And thank them for your continued privilege to use that device without a monthly subscription

As far as I can tell, Apple is actually better on your privacy than Google. Which is a low bar, admittedly. Spy on you continuously, yes. Make an effort to keep all the data they collect private, yes.

[–] 0 pt

5% of Apple's revenue is from them selling your personal info to Google.

[–] 1 pt

Oh, huh I didn't know that. I don't use any Apple products because I don't like the interface, rather than privacy reasons.

Yea I figured out it was filming me years ago when I looked at my phone with night vision on. The infrared light on the front of your phone never goes off. If you have a set try it yourself.

[–] 3 pts

Just because you can't see infrared doesn't mean it can't damage your eyes. Staring into this phone is for retards who want to go blind.

Officials say as an iPhone is used, it emits 30,000 infrared dots in a known pattern when a face is detected, enabling the iPhone X to generate a 3D map of a user’s face.

[–] 2 pts (edited )

Yeah, unless i missed it - what is the end reason for this built in 'feature' ?? - Why does apple need to have the phone continuously taking 30 000 infrared dot images of a users face to generate a 3d map every 5 secs ?? ....

Edit : The spokeman doesn't actually satisfy my curiosity with an actual credible reason for what it is doing ??. Typical big-tech obfuscation ...

Secret facial recog (and eye tracking) to determine emotional reactions to keyword/photos for ai training

It trains the nueral chip in the phone to in turn train HAL3000

[–] 0 pt

Yeah, i'm curious if the 3d face mapping images are collected or collated somewhere and any data of it able to be accessed by the apple manufacturers/ engineers or even 'sold' to a third party developer/ think tank for some 'Consumer Research purpose' ?? ...

It's for unlocking the phone with Face ID. It's always on so that you don't to activate it. At least that's what they say is the reason.

[–] 0 pt

Yeah ok, but that still doesn't really seem to make a lot of sense as that's all fairly power intensive to keep running when its main function (unlocking of the phone) has already been accomplished. Did no-one really think to just have it switch off into standby mode unless the phone needs to be unlocked again ??....

I think the end goal for the NWO is for any Internet communication to require facial recognition/biometric authentication of the end users.

Just because you can't see infrared doesn't mean it can't damage your eyes.

Lmao just how bright do you think the infrared dots are? Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they’re eye-searing laser beams.

[–] 0 pt

Clearly higher power than sunlight, which is very damaging to eyes. /s

I wouldn't like that just because it's unnecessary. Fortunately it's an easy fix with a piece of electrical tape, or just don't use an iFag device.

It’s for faceID. And? So calling them “pictures” is rather misleading.

defending jews, jewish apple and jewish practices

Get in the oven.

Ok, so presumably does that mean another person is not able to use the phone if you have 'faceID' turned on, or just some features are disabled like voice to text et al. I mean the spokesman did a shite job of explaining why the phone has being designed to run this in built program , imo.

[–] 1 pt

can any camera show this? i know that you can see a tv remote signal by pointing it at an ipad camera, but phone camera(not iphone) doesnt show this happening on ipad and vice versa.

[–] 1 pt

This is the power of Apple's marketing. Installing all these fucked up cameras on the front of your phone and raising no suspicion over it.

[–] 1 pt

A black permanent marker on the front camera works as well.

[–] 3 pts

I mean... if you're going to disable it's expensive anti-privacy features, why not just get a cheaper basic phone.

[–] 1 pt

Does it still do it if you have Face-ID off?

[–] 0 pt

I only take pics of my booty and pee-pee anyway

Send them to

But not for reasons you think 🙄
