Yeah, unless i missed it - what is the end reason for this built in 'feature' ?? - Why does apple need to have the phone continuously taking 30 000 infrared dot images of a users face to generate a 3d map every 5 secs ?? ....

Edit : The spokeman doesn't actually satisfy my curiosity with an actual credible reason for what it is doing ??. Typical big-tech obfuscation ...

Secret facial recog (and eye tracking) to determine emotional reactions to keyword/photos for ai training

It trains the nueral chip in the phone to in turn train HAL3000

Yeah, i'm curious if the 3d face mapping images are collected or collated somewhere and any data of it able to be accessed by the apple manufacturers/ engineers or even 'sold' to a third party developer/ think tank for some 'Consumer Research purpose' ?? ...

undoubtedly, this is why I'm highly interested in crypto projects like Ocean Protocol

It's for unlocking the phone with Face ID. It's always on so that you don't to activate it. At least that's what they say is the reason.

Yeah ok, but that still doesn't really seem to make a lot of sense as that's all fairly power intensive to keep running when its main function (unlocking of the phone) has already been accomplished. Did no-one really think to just have it switch off into standby mode unless the phone needs to be unlocked again ??....

I have it and it actually does feel cool that the phone is just ready for you whenever you’re looking at it, but locked for anyone else.

I’m not saying I approve, just explaining why they think it’s a good idea.

I think the end goal for the NWO is for any Internet communication to require facial recognition/biometric authentication of the end users.
