Correct you need an IP address of some sort for a download or a response to reach you. So they'll record all downloads, all writing, all everything and sell it to the riaa/mpaa, feds, or marketers and make them richer.

I think it's a pretty safe bet nobody on this website owns one. But if you're stupid enough to own the always-on living-room CIA spy-box: just leave it; don't try and do anything. You're already fucked and the spy-box is the least of your worries. If anything, trying to stop it from spying on you will put you on a special list of people who don't like spying. You're better off leaving it completely vanilla and only behaving like a normie when you're around it.

When I had facebook I posted a lot of times how I go out of my way to never buy a thing that is advertised online ever. THen I blocked facebook ads altogether then I deleted my profile.

I was specifically referring to the Alexa boxes; totally forgot that they make tablets, too. Not sure what to tell ya, other than "sucks to be you." I bought an e-Paper Kobo that I still use, and is always disconnected from the internet. Haven't updated it since I bought it, like, almost ten years ago. Great for reading books. As for a tablet: I made sure to buy one that could be rooted and had plenty of custom ROMs to choose from. It, too, is disconnected from the internet, most of the time— it's basically my normie computer. I do everything that I'd do with my real name on it, and nothing more.
