I installed it on a legacy laptop once. ONCE! Had to look for driver source code and compile it even for basic components such as the network components. I guess Manjora is easier from what I hear, but I never tried it. LMDE is my go to, with Slacko Pup for even older systems, such as the netbook I found in a box that I had forgotten about.
