Another device getting the remote disable "feature"...

This isn't about disabling looted TVs, they all always start with a pretext such as this before they ramp it up. This is really about disabling your TV for ANY reason. Then it's only a matter of time before the government starts using it, sooner if they're the ones behind it.

Why do people connect shit to the Internet that has no business connecting to the internet? If you want to stream, get a streaming box and put that on a VLAN separate from your LAN. Use iptables rules to block that box from communicating with anything other than the streaming services you are subscribed to.
