It will take 10 years of training to get an AI to become smart enough to rule on cases. And there may still need to be a panel of experts in some instances (this is what judges can do, in the future). But I've been preaching the antiquation of jury trials and judges for about 5 years now.

You’d think I’d know since my last job was using AI and machine learning to automate the lawyer part of this. Yup, you read that right: antiquating lawyers. My old boss is doing well with that tech and they much improved it went beyond the initial science and math stuff I did for them.
