Thanks did that. There's also a setting in the Verizon manage settings to block auto enrollment into these "services". I clicked block for that too. Not sure how much it will help but every little bit helps.
My cynical guess is they will still collect it and build a profile for each of their users regardless of that setting. Just that they won't tell you that they're using it behind the scenes and you won't receive the text messages with their offers unless you haven't turned it off. But if you had it turned off and them sometime in the future turn it back on, they'd have all your "offers" ready to go and the flip of a switch because they've been collecting it the entire time.
