This is why I think neural implants should just be an interface, like adding a USB port to your brain, but the compute should be done offsite. Think about how long the PCI-E 3.0 standard lasted vs how long a GPU stays relevant. I'm open to getting something like the Neuralink 3.0, but the interface needs to be an open source standard. So I can connect my brain to different servers to offload my thinking (computation) and not being locked to Tesla or any single vendor.
