Blake doesn't mention anything about the hardware used for LaMDA. I don't see how true sentience can be possible on traditional hardware, only something that mimics the responses. Quantum computers however, from the little I understand about them, do some of the same things that panpsychism and Fisher's quantum consciousness theororize an organic brain might be capable of.
