if something is inevitable then it doesn't have a purpose, it just is.

amino acid goop requires a process of sex to stop itself still being goop this time next week, and this state of being will continue to exist until goop finally invents sex.

and we know it's inevitable that goop will invent sex because we exist, therefore we too lack an existential purpose.

obviously being clever sons of goop we can deceive ourselves as to not having a purpose, at least until we all die and revert to goop and wait for the heat death of the universe.

If you wait long enough, that pile of socks will become sentient, and one by one disappear into a career of puppetry

But only events that we have the capacity to affect change upon, has a purpose. Even then that 'purpose' is chaotically random, because what if we had decided to do the opposite?

I always separate my White socks from the colours, just in case they try to replicate
