I work with a guy who is clinically paranoid. My theory is that paranoia evolved as the inversion of psychopathy--a sort of anticipatory mental defense against manipulation. Those who have it come up with all these schemes that are so insane they straddle the line between actually working, and no one believing them if they heard about it. The paranoid just assume people are trying to do it to them, instead of them trying to do it to others.

And we can also see the most successful psychopaths actually merge the two: paranoia to generate the schemes, and psychopathy to remove the moral compass.

This is a very insightful idea!

I’ve had the thought before that a major difference between me and my normie friends and family is they simply don’t understand how selfish and bad some people can be, while I understand the motivations that drive large numbers of people, people similar to is and then and people different. In other words, normies struggle imagining the world from perspectives outside of their own. I could see this certainly being related to paranoia.

I can fix this in 5 min. Use their tyranny against them.

1) Declare them all as terrorirsts.

2) Use secret courts to seal everything, freeze all assets and prevent any due process. Make them all disappear into black sites under sudonyms but make a cheap deal with some merks and ensure that within a day they're all executed but bury all the evidence so nobody even knows.

I'd imagine an AI would quickly work out it could dump stock in a bunch of related sectors all at once, wait for other country's AI's to react in kind, and then re-buy the most favourable stocks at a lower price?

We might see competing AI's in trading wars with each other.

Kinda worried where China intends going with its AI research (other than intelligent attack drones)

What I don't understand is it's tanking the market on itself. buying other things and tanking the market there. a couple of those antifa kids should go in there with some bricks, start smashing the real enemies windows and not some poor mom and pop on main Street. I mean at this point you can't even play the market anymore because this thing's already 15 steps ahead of you. maybe it tosses your bone here and there. But you're more or less getting it scraps.
