They also monitor all electronic communication. They have unimaginable data on human behavior. They can predict your next move before you decide to make it. Good luck with that revolution.
They cant predict that. The future doesn't work like that... Nor does AI. You can predict the next moves of an ordered system but the realty we are trapped in isn't an ordered system. Parts of it are seemingly deterministic at times but other parts are not. Whatever layer of determinism there is is just a shadow or projection of shit much stranger underneath. It's likely whatever AI could evolve into it will run up against the same limitations humans have. Underlying limits to perception as well as prediction and the role observation plays in quantum systems.
the role observation plays in quantum systems.
Exactly. Even if I was generous to grant muh ai the argument of "predicting " peoples immediate next move, the odds of predicting the 2nd, or 3rd are unfathomable
You underestimate the power of information. Many studies have shown that it is possible to predict people's choices with relatively little information. They don't have to be 100% accurate 100% of the time to be 100% effective at the job. There are a thousand points at which they can stop you. There are a thousand tells by which they can identify you, and predict that you will act.
You could use a random number generator to decide when to have a peaceful protest or which important individual to have a polite conversation with next.
