Better keep making those F-150s. Someone said Ford is a truck company that also sells cars. I don't think the US is ready for a truck you have to plug in every couple hundred miles.
I drive 350 miles through the desert every week, usually towing something. No way you will catch me in an electric.
every couple hundred miles.
You're dreaming. Towing anything, carrying any kind of load, cold weather, older battery ... you'll be lucky to get 80 miles range.
No one makes a minivan EV or anything with a third row. Got more than 2 or 3 kids? Or do you want to bring stuff with you on vacation? Their isn't an electric vehicle that'll do that.
I don't have exact data. I only have experience with the engineering behind the Ford hybrid SUV. Range isn't an issue with an hybrid. I would think they would turn out eco-box cars to meet govt regs while continuing to turn out America's most popular truck with an IC engine. Fucking clown world shit here.
