The goal isn't to phase out fossil fuels, it's to phase out the population and reduce travel to an eventual living area no one leaves without special permits.

Absolutely! I don't think it will take five years for them to start banning the sale of electric cars because of their environmental impact. I remember when there was a huge push for biodegradable products in cars. A whole generation of Mercedes vehicles were made with biodegradable wiring insulation. A two ton vehicle was made inoperable by making a few grams of insulation degrade within a decade or two when the rest of the vehicle could last much longer.

Chrysler sold 300k+ dodge darts from 2012-2016. I haven't seen one on the road in at least a year. They all disappeared in like six years. I'm sure a few exist and are still running, but I haven't seen them.

We can't phase out fossil fuels. There's nothing with which to replace them. Any talk about phasing out fossil fuels is absurd. The only thing that could replace them is atomic power, and we are not building new nuclear power plants, so it isn't going to happen. It's a complete fantasy.

The best part is China is the only one mining these metals and most panels and inverters come from China

"fossil fuels" is a term engineered to make you think they are scarce. most everything they consider a "fossil fuel" is organic and renewable.

I watched the whole thing. I think the most shocking part is the amound of time it would take to mine the minerals needed for one generation of electric vehicles. This study is saying at current production rates, it will take 9920 years to produce enough lithium to make every vehicle electric...and thats if lithium is only used for that one purpose... and then all those cars will only last 10 years max before we need new ones. This shit is a joke.
